Sawyer’s next nickname appears in the Season 1 Kate-centric episode ” Tabula Rasa” . It’s “Abdul” and it is for Sayid ” And I am a torturer” Jarrah. 
I’m assuming that Mr. Ford called him this because it is a fairly common name among people from the Middle East and using it as a slight. However, after much reflecting and roaming a little on youtube to back up my suspicions, it may be a nod to dancer/singer/ choreographer and American Idol’s sideways-clapping judge, Miss Paula Abdul.
