I always thought it was a little too metaphysical to have a ghostbuster/psychic on the show. Your theory give a perfectly scientific and logical explanation. I'm going to link to this theory next week in my weekly Foreign Theories post. (if you don't mind). I would do it this week but I'm trying to solve the mystery of who Jacob is.
