LOST Thoughts : LOST and Fringe

Last night, we watched the premiere episode of JJ Abrams new show ” Fringe”. (IMO) It was excellent. Humor, action and “the creep factor”. Many familiar LOST faces working behind the scenes (Bryan Burk, Michael Bonvillian, Michael Giacchino) and “on stage” with Lance Reddick ( Matthew Abbadon).

Of course, I had to search for Lost parallels and there were a few. A missing arm, corporate conspiracy, airline disaster (biological, in this case), passenger 108, character named Walter (Walt), an Agent Dawson mentioned, a secretary named Danielle. Any others that you can think of, please let me know, in comments or email me at bunnieshatch@aol.com.

Wayne Henderson who does Wayne’s Take on Lost podcast has a new podcast that he started a few months ago called Wayne’s Take on Fringe. If you are starting to get into Fringe and like podcasts , I’m believe, WTOF would make a fun addition to watching the show.

I will be rewatching the repeat telecast on Sunday night, September 14 on Fox. If you haven’t checked it out, it is definately worth a look.

Speaking of rewatching (or watching for the first time), I saw on a commercial last night that starting Monday, September 15th, the SciFi Channel will be showing Lost , from the Pilot episode on , at 7pm EST.

* Just read on Lostaway Bonnie ‘s Lost blog at Lost@about.com
that G4 Channel will be showing Lost Enhanced episodes, like they do with the old Star Trek episodes. You can “hop” on over to her site for more details. 🙂

Fringe was everything that I was hoping it would be. Classic Abrams signature combined with old school X-Files. Looking forward to the rest of the seasons to come.

    Hey there, CW!

Thanks so much for the kind comments Wendy. I appreciate them, and the links. The general feel is that FRiNGE will succeed if given the chance. Check out some of the positive listener feedback I got on episode #06 of my WTOF podcast. BTW, I haven’t received any negative comments about FRiNGE yet at all!

You’re welcome. Not surprised about the lack of negative feedback (for your show or Fringe). Both are quality productions 🙂 . Whoever coined the phrase ” Bad press is better than no press” never tried to have a show on Fox or iTunes. 🙂
