LOST Thoughts : LOST Thought ( The Book) and LOST Mirror Moments

Hello, fellow LOST fans. Just an update about a couple LOST related happenings that have come about. First, Pearson Moore is at it again, writing another in depth work about LOST, rounding up some of the most prolific writers and theorists from the LOST fandom and beyond ( including Ryan Ozawa of The Transmission podcast and founder/creator of the LOST Podcasting Network, someone that I and other fellow LOST podcasters are happily indebted to. 😉 See below for more info on LOST Thought.

Speaking of LOST podcasting, I will be guest hosting on the LOST Mirror Moments podcast this weekend on March 17th at 9 pm EST on Talkshoe. As Ms.Wright and Michelle are winding down their re-watch of the series, we will be discussing Season Six, Episodes 7 and 8 ( Dr. Linus and Recon). If you want to listen to past episodes or submit LOST mirror moments of your own,go to http://lostmirrormoments.wordpress.com/

Announcing LOST Thought

The greatest collection of LOST expertise ever presented in a single volume.
What if all your favorite LOST authors and bloggers were gathered in one place, accessible anytime you wished, day or night? What if you could bring together in the same place the world’s leading authorities on LOST? What would you talk about with them? What fascinating ideas would they bring for your consideration?
What if you could talk with people who never left the Island, who never will leave the Island—whose job it is, in fact, to live, breathe, experience and explain LOST 24 hours a day, seven days a week?
There are such people, and there is such a magical place, in a book: LOST Thought.

About LOST Thought
LOST Thought is a lively collaboration between 22 leading experts in the online LOST world and the academic community. Every contributor brings unrestrained passion to these 25 wide-ranging and vital discussions of the personal, cultural, social, and literary implications of the most fascinating, multi-faceted creation ever presented on television. LOST is approached as living, breathing text whose mythology, themes, and theses challenge our culture and our society at every level.
Scholars specializing in literary theory, English literature, film theory, art history, LOST studies, theology, pop culture, music theory, art, religious studies, and theater have come together to produce the most extensive analysis of LOST ever presented in a single volume. These 22 experts discuss LOST from 25 different perspectives, taking on issues ranging from the cultural impact of the series as a whole to the social implications of specific characters such as Sayid Jarrah, looking at LOST through the lens of the Neo-Baroque, Postmodernism, Post-postmodern Realism, and Poststructuralism. This volume will be widely quoted in literary and scholarly circles and treasured by fans worldwide.

The Authors

The leading voices of the LOST online community are all present in this volume. Nikki Stafford, author of the outstanding Finding LOST series, presents the first essay in the anthology and sets the tone for the entire volume. Jo Garfein, Erika Olson, Sarah Clarke Stuart, Pearson Moore, Sam McPherson, Ryan Ozawa, and Andy Page contribute their unique perspectives, giving a sense of the profound personal and social sentiment attached to the pop cultural revolution that is LOST.

Several of the most distinguished figures in academe, in disciplines ranging from art history and film theory to theology and theater studies, apply the full weight of their expertise to uncover and explore the most fascinating aspects of this rich television drama. Dr. Amy Bauer and Dr. Michelle Lang consider LOST from artistic perspectives, while Dr. Cynthia Burkhead, Dr. Julia Guernsey-Pitchford, and Jamie Smith look at LOST from the context of literary tradition. Dr. Paul Wright, Jeffrey Frame, and Kevin McGinnis apply their religious and theological training to distill new meaning from the text, and Dr. Antonio Savorelli brings the unique appreciation of semiotics to his discussion of the sixth season and the series finale. The depth of these scholarly discussions is unparalleled in published works on LOST.

Some of the most talented, up-and-coming scholars train their sharp, young minds on the series, delivering fresh and fascinating perspective to the cinematic text. C. David Milles looks at LOST as story, Erin Carlyle considers LOST’s motherhood theme from a visual perspective, and Gozde Kilic explores the psychoanalytic implications of the “Daddy Issues” in the series. Dr. Delano Freeberg presents an unabashed discussion of LOST as postmodernism, providing a tour-de-force defense that is sure to become a controversial talking point for scholarly rebuttals. Finally, Jennifer Galicinski weighs in with the longest essay in the anthology, a challenging assertion of LOST as cultural exemplar to modern religious practice and understanding.

The Publisher

Inukshuk Press has long been committed to the popular appreciation of intellectual and literary zeal, and is no stranger to the LOST community. One of this publisher’s most successful offerings, Lost Identity, was written by Pearson Moore, editor and contributor to LOST Thought.

LOST Video: LOST Fans Finale “Transmissions”

This is a video of the text messages sent into ABC that were selected to be featured during the commercial breaks for the 2 hour LOST retrospective. These text, that I thought might be a distraction, turned out to be a heartwarming tribute … and ultimately, wished they had more of these during “The End” ‘s breaks too. 🙂

LOST Thoughts: S6/Ep 15 – Across the Sea or Symboling Rivalry

Wow…this was quite an episode. Might go down as the most talked about in the series history. So, I might as well talk about it here too. 🙂

( If you want to hear more thoughts, stop by the Lost Revisited Now podcast Episode 107 for the Initial Reaction show for ” Across the Sea”. )

Two Babies, Two Sides
: Mother seemed to want to hold the BIB. Claudia only asked for “him” , first born Jacob , not “them”. “Are you ‘him’?” = Desmond’s question to who he thought was to be his “replacement”, John Locke. Mother looking for a “replacement”. It turned out to be Jacob. Jacob is looking for his “replacement” in the candidate. Or (as Wray suggested in “comments” last week) could the candidate be for something else entirely?

What’s in a Name?
: In some traditions, like Judaism, there is a spiritual connotation to naming a child- that it would be telling of who they are , “their essence”, and would grow to be by the significance of the names chosen for them. In Hopi legend, it is several years and many names given to a child until what seems to best suit who he/she is , personality-wise, that a final name is selected. In Rome, where Claudia was most likely from, the father, not the mother, would decide the name, about eight days later after birth…and that’s if he decided the child would live or not! Where in ancient Egypt, of where we have seen a lot of reference to that culture on the show, the parents would waste not time in naming the baby after their birth, often siting a physical characteristic of the infant. But here…we have no name still for Man in Black. Is he the powerful but not forgiving Henry Gale’s boss “Him”, much like the pure evil figure from The PowerPuff Girls? Will a name be insufficient, at this point? At this point, I don’t mind it remaining a mystery.

Bad Twin! Baaaad! : There are so many stories of twin sagas gone wrong: Jacob and Esau of the Old Testament, Osiris and Set from Egyptian lore, Apollo and Artemis from Greek mythology, Romulus and Remus from Roman mythology ( who’s mother was a princess and father the god of war, Mars, who were raised by a she wolf and only one of them could be king, ending in Romulus killing Remus) .So, what’s one more! 😉

One set of twin from where we get the Gemini constellation, are Castor and Pollux, of Greek/Roman mythology. According to Wiki…

“In the myth the twins shared the same mother but had different fathers which meant that Pollux was immortal and Castor was mortal. When Castor died, Pollux asked Zeus to let him share his own immortality with his twin to keep them together and they were transformed into the Gemini constellation. The pair were regarded as the patrons of sailors, to whom they appeared as St. Elmo’s fire.”

(Well, there have been a few vessels that tend to drop by…or on, the Island.)

Is this what happens with Mother/Jacob, Jacob/Richard MIB/Locke and Sayid, exchanges…even possibly what happens, to some extent, when you become an Other, like Ben- the sharing of immortality? But the “rules” may somehow make immortality…flexible?

Oh, Grow Up!: It’s curious that MIB “saw” his birth mother ( or was it the image “Mother” wanted him to see?) when he was 13 years old. According to Jewish tradition, this is the age of Bar Mitzvah, when a boy becomes a man and becomes responsible for his own understanding of the law, tradition, as well as becoming accountable to morals and ethics. Among the Aborigines of Australia… they send them on … a Walkabout. In some Native American tradition, the rite of passage called Smudge that involves… a sweat lodge. No wonder John Locke was a “custom fit” for the MIB.

Bring Out Your Dead!
: So, MIB could see “Claudia”? Hurley can see the deceased too. And apparently Sawyer…and Desmond, at least as far as mini Jacob is concerned. Is this tied into being “Special”? Mother said that Jacob couldn’t lie and that MIB could because he was “special”… or at least, inferred as such. Hurley is a horrible liar. Sawyer excels at it and is one of the reasons MIB wanted him on his side. So, just because Mother said Jacob couldn’t “see” Claudia” because she was dead…doesn’t mean it was true. Jacob just happened not to be there.

I Wanna Big Wheel, Mom!: We get to at least see the starting of the Donkey Wheel’s presence on the Island. Even if MIB actually got it to work, would he have been able to have left? Would it have shifted time, like it did before? And maybe this is why the Egyptian statue and hieroglyphics show up “later” in the show? MIB taking it for a test run?

Wake Up , Sleepyhead!: Mother disturbs Jacob’s slumber to tell him ” It’s time.” This is where she takes him to the cave, has him drink the wine as the initiation of becoming ” Protector” of the whatever is emanating from it. “You and I are the same now”. Will we see something very similar between Desmond and Ms. Hawking/Mrs.Widmore or even Charles, when he finally “ready” ?

Now You See Me… Now You Don’t: MIB has been looking for that cavern of light for 30 years. Mother can show her “sons” at a moment’s notice. Is it like Jack finally seeing the Lighthouse? It might be that you need to have a certain level of “faith”? And interestingly, in the same way, how was Hurley the only one to find Jacob’s Cabin, despite it moving locations… and he wasn’t looking for it at all?

Tunnel Vision: Looking at that glowing cave, I had to figure there were some kind of references to caves in literary and other “sources”. There are many. I found a fantastic compilation of them here at the studyworld.com site It was quite an interesting and enlightening read …and, for me, made the reveal more “accessible”.

See-ms Like Old Times: The way that MIB was left at the end of the river was very reminiscent of Boone’s vision of Shannon’s death by Smokey in the Season One Episode “Hearts and Minds” . In this episode, there is also a talk between Locke and Jack that is similar to Jacob and MIB in Season Five finale ” The Incident”. MIB ‘s body was entangled in the tree, like how we saw the pilot in The Pilot, after the Smoke Monster actually killed him. Also, his body was tossed aside by the black smoke but we’ve seen Brother since then, just like John Locke is now. In “Hearts and Minds” Locke said to Boone ” What did it make you see?”. Is it the Island? The Smokey Monster? The wacky paste John put on Boone’s head? We still don’t know! Is seeing here like the concept of seeing/showing that Charlie and now Desmond have been utilizing? And is seeing going to be what bridges the gap between what’s real, what’s an illusion and both of Lost’s “worlds?

” You Haven’t Aged a Bit!” : Now, I figure that we are just supposed to chalk up Jack thinking Adam and Eve were only there 40 to 50 years, instead of a couple millennium, because he’s not exactly an expert ( as I know that I talk about stuff I don’t know about all the time…so I can empathize..lol) . But what came to mind was the story of Moses and the Israelites wandering the desert for 40 years and God preserving their clothes so they never fell apart.
Hey, Locke said the Island was a place where miracles happened…so it could work?! 🙂

And lastly, I think I may have solved a major mystery. The cave that contains life, death, rebirth… Mother called ” The Heart of the Island” . The MIB , as far as we know, is a man without a name. In the southernmost part of the United States in Boerne TX, there is a National Park that features The Cave Without a Name. So, does this mean ” The stars at night are big and bright *clap clap clap clap* DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!

Sorry… I couldn’t resist. 🙂

Now, time to set sail across the sea… to land on Episode 16.

LOST Thoughts : David’s Mother or Jack’s X Wife

During this past little break, I hosted the Bunny Awards on The LOST Revisited Now podcast… which turned into an 8 hour Ramble On cast…lol . One of the mini topics of discussion was “Who is Jack’s son, David’s mother in the flash-sideways? “. Now, the obvious choices are either Juliet or Sarah ( seeing neither relationship with Jack went very far). But since LOST is hearkening back to earlier seasons, I’m thinking why not a callback to a character from a Season Two “crossroads” for Jack, relationship-wise.

Jack had to make a decision to stay with his wife and work things out or start a new relationship with the daughter of a patient, Gabriella ( The Hunting Party) . He chose Sarah… to which, Sarah told Jack she was seeing someone else. So, it would play into the ” But what if he chose Gabriella” scenario. Perhaps, the flash- sideways would have confirmed that the pairing of Jack and Gabriella wouldn’t have been successful there either.

Now, this will most likely not happen but I think it would be fantastic if it did. It is consistent with the storyline without being so “on its sleeve”?

What about you? Are there any character “reveals” that you would have enjoyed seeing or hoping to see, that involve people other than our main characters but still would make sense, in the overall mythology?

LOST Thoughts: S6/Ep10 – The Package or It’s Not a What…It’s a (Dr.) Who

This week, we were treated to a Jin/Sun extravaganza called “The Package.

Here are some additional thoughts that I’ve been mulling over since it aired. If you would like to hear more, you can check out ” The LOST Revisited Now”podcast, Episode #99.

If Mr. Paik was having Jin “rubbed out” by Keamy in this X time line, was he going to do the same thing in the original? Is there a “whatever happened, happened” sort of thing going on? If that is the case, what would be Paik reasoning for Jin’s execution? I’m thinking that he didn’t give the complete “message” to the guy who was the auto inspector. That was bad enough. But when Jin couldn’t “finish the job” by killing Jae Lee, the man who was sleeping with his wife, Paik may have deemed him useless, at that point, and would have ordered the hit.

Now, the watch itself. I don’t think that it was for Keamy. We know that at one point in the original time line, Martin worked for Widmore. Widmore and Paik were business associates, even playing golf together. So, I’m guessing that watch was most likely going to Charles in this time line, as well as the original.
The inscription on the original watch read ( in Korean) Congratulations…mutual cooperation…business development… Mr. Paik . That would seem to apply. I’m still wondering who got the first watch in Australia in Season One…and if there was another watch in this time line?

More symbolism with the fruit ( granted, it was from a vine, not a tree) that was offered to Sun by Jack. Jack saying ” I guess it wasn’t told it was supposed to die” with the stubborn tomato symbolizing Sun. This could be a play on ” Ye shall not surely die” said by the serpent to Eve ( even though Adam was told they would if they ate the fruit) . Also, what has been one of Sun and Jin’s biggest obstacles? Fertility issues or ” being fruitful and multiplying”. I have a feeling that their “reunion” may end up taking place in a cave. 😦

The tomato in Italian is called “pomodoro” or “golden apple”. In Greek mythology, the golden apple was known as “the apple of discord” because it was inscribed with the words” to the prettiest one”. This did not sit well with the many goddesses that considered themselves to be the one the golden apple was for. This small squabble is what eventually lead to the Trojan War. And like a wise man once said… a war is coming…and it’s already here.

This week’s mirror images was, first, Sun in the hall mirror ( almost looking like she was seeing something she couldn’t comprehend…even looking through, perhaps). The other, Jin’s, was a side by side image of him from the freezer ( thanks Anna for that one 😉 ) . He is “parallel” to it. Speaking of mirrors, Jin and Sun are standing in front of one the first time she, and the audience, find out what kind of “work” Jin is doing for Mr. Paik, as he is washing away the blood from his hands.

Thought it was funny how Ben was so concerned with Sun’s head injury and if she was ok when not to long ago, Sun whacked him in the noggin with an oar. Oh, how things have changed 😉

I have another lame theory about the plane. Richard said that they need to destroy it. But that is not an easy task without getting caught. And seeing MIB can loosen shackles, can he fix airplanes too. But what if you can’t fly what isn’t there? Maybe Jacob will finally give Ben an actual order, that will require a sacrifice on his part. What if he turns the donkey wheel one last time, causing them to move back in time and the plane “disappearing”. Before, Smokey was just that and wasn’t effected. But this time, he is stuck as “Locke” and has to travel back with them. And the war will take place at the “beginning” of when Widmore and that group first came to be. This would also explain Jack saying the clothes on “Adam and Eve” were about 40-50 years deteriorated. It could be “them” , as Hurley said in “Lighthouse”… and still be aged like that, in 2004. Most likely wrong…but when else can I put it out there. 🙂

Now that Smocke may or may not “need” certain people, will Claire kill Kate? Or will we see her leaving the Island in a helicopter with Aaron (like Desmond saw), quelling Claire’s anger? But how can this happen? I’m thinking there might be more than one “double locked room” on that sub ( but he’d most likely had to share it with several pylons).

Speaking of Desmond, aka The Package…why is he called that? Yes, it paralleled Jin having to deliver a package to Keamy in the flash-sideways. But it just seemed so strange to call him that. So, I decided to see if there was something about packages involving time travel, science, etc. Sure enough, there is. A physics package is the actual working parts of a nuclear or thermonuclear device. ( Interestingly, the Swan device was one of the first nuclear devices made by the US in 1956, the year Richard went to see Locke be born and the name of the Hatch where Des turned the fail safe key). Hmm… didn’t we have the core of the Jughead setting things off for time travel last season? Is this how Desmond is “uniquely and miraculously special”? Can he, in a sense, act as a “bomb”, capable of affecting time, personally and on a whole?

And last but not least… Frank misses bacon. 🙂

Now, onto unwrapping the gift that is this week’s new episode…#11.

LOST Thoughts : S6/Ep8 – Recon or (Looking Out for) Number One with a Bullitt

I know, that alternate title sounds like a solution to a “Before and After” puzzle on “Wheel of Fortune”. Now, on to some quick thoughts about this episode. If you would like to hear some more about ” Recon”, hop on over to the Lost Revisited Now page on Talkshoe and find Episode Recon: Episode 94. 🙂

James in the flash-sideways is a cop. I had a feeling that this would be the case. However, why did he let Kate go, when he saw her with handcuffs on in LA X? Will that ” I made this birthday wish four years ago” comment he made to her become more relevant?

Smocke told James that it is ” Kill or Be Killed” atmosphere on the Island. And he stated that ” And I don’t want to be killed!”. Even though we saw Smocke was stabbed without harm, how would he/could he be killed? Is the “killing” for him be the losing of his identity i.e. becoming Locke?

Miles mentioned his father working at the same museum that Charlotte, James’s blind date, worked at. Will we see Pierre Chang anytime soon? Did he leave the Island the same time Roger and Ben did? Does Miles even know that he was on the Island? Does Charlotte?

Both Charlotte and James have occupations that required them to look for clues to solve mysteries : a cop and an anthropologist.

Will we see Miles girlfriend and will she be someone we know? Will she “go Dutch” for coffee with Sawyer?

Smokey is able to read peoples minds/memories. Is this what he did with Kate… just find something that could be “relate-able” to win her over? Is he speaking from a genuine place.. only that place is from Locke’s memories that starting to “seep out”? Either way, “Aaron having a crazy mother” talk will keep Kate from her original purpose of reuniting Claire and her baby. And if “danger surrounds this baby”,Claire “goodness” needing to be the sole influence in his life, and that it was because of her giving up Aaron that the Losties “are all paying the price” ( Claire’s dream)… I’m guessing this might not turn out well if Kate goes this route.

Double locks on the door on the sub ( Two Lockes? 😉 ) . Who/What’s behind it?
A devise to “short circuit” Smokey?
Desmond?
Walt?
Faraday from another time line?
Widmore Industries ” White Smoke in a Can”?
Any thoughts are welcome. 🙂

James is searching for Anthony Cooper in the X time line. He didn’t know who the real Sawyer was until ” The Brig” when it was revealed on the Island. Who/ what was his source of information?

As James was looking for stuff about Anthony Cooper, he was using the lure of some found property and was the person in Alabama in 1976. Now, in this episode. James ( and the newspaper clippings) said that he was 9 years old when the murder/suicide occurred. And yet, in Season One’s ” Confidence Man”, we were told that he was 8 years old. Also, in ” Every Man for Himself” , Ben asks Sawyer how old he was . James said ” 32″ to which Ben promptly says ” Don’t liiiiie.” Thus, Sawyer then returns with ” 35″. If James was 35 in 2004, that would make him 7 years old in 1976. Unless, of course, he was still lying…lol. But this would make him younger, not older, in 1976.

So, was there a “Wrinkle in Time” ( like one of the books he was reading in ” Recon”, as well as the Island)? Did the Jughead make a discrepancy in the time? Would he have made a difference if he went back on the sub with Juliet in 1974? Or is this just, sadly, an error with continuity? We shall see.

Another big, yellow flower made its way into this episode ( as well as the name ” LaFleur”). It worked for Juliet… but not Charlotte (obviously under less awkward circumstances). Sayid also brought yellow roses to Nadia in ” Sundown”, symbolizing friendship, not romance.

The flower Sawyer gave to Charlotte was a sunflower. I decided to find out its symbolism if any. According to an article (written by Kathleen Karlsen, MA) , ” Sunflowers belong to the genus helianthus, a reference to Helios, the sun god.” They were also worshiped by the Inca Indians because they represented the sun to them.

The sun, being a symbol of light, was rejected by Charlotte. Is this a clue to what “side” she was on? But she became interested in James when he said his final choice of criminal vs cop was cop ( good/light)? More questions… 🙂

The sunflower is also the state flower of Kansas. Kansas is the destination of the Ingalls family in ” Little House on the Prairie” ( as well as the home of Henry/Dorothy Gale in ” The Wizard of Oz”.) Sawyer first mentioned his viewing habits of this program to Kate, in the Season 3 Episode ” Tricia Tanaka is Dead ( as opposed to ” Stranger in a Strange Land, which I mistakenly mentioned on this week’s podcast…Oops! 😉 ). Whether it was while he was sick with mono or going through a bad break up, looks like James will seek out the pure.. the sweet… the ” good” , that is ” Little House”. Is this where he will go to, to seek out the “good” as well, on the Island?

That’s all for now. To Episode 9 or Bust! 8)

LOST Thoughts: S6/Ep7 Dr. Linus or Napoleon + Dynamite

We are now mere hours away from a new episode of LOST. In the meantime, just thought I’d talk about a couple things from last weeks episode that I forgot to mention on this week’s LOST Revisited Now podcast.

In ” Dr. Linus” , we saw, among Sawyer’s Stash O’ Stuff, a book by Chaim Potok entitled ” The Chosen” . While getting info on the novel (www. sparknotes.com) , I noticed there we many things contained in it that parallel the overall story of LOST itself such as …

It had not one main character but two and their stories ran “parallel” with each other.

The stories of two boys, both Jewish ( one a traditional Othrodox and the other a more “modern minded” Hasidic ) are told through the use of pairs, parallels, compliments and contrasts ( much like the X timeline)

Also, the was the idea of ” Silence as a path to the soul” ( Jack at the Lighthouse…staring at the ocean)

Some themes were Conflicts of Tradition vs Modernity ( Faith vs Science) and Choosing vs Being Chosen ( Free Will vs Fate).
Other parts covered in the book are: Father and Son relationships ( Daddy Issues) , Perception ( a much debated topic in the LOST community 😉 ) and suffering ( ” We are the cause of our own suffering” – Room 23, Not in Portland , Season 3).

Symbolism: Eyes and Eyeglasses ( the eye opening, Sawyer’s glasses) and the Talmud ( Book of Laws, The Rules)

On a more abstract note, we also got quite a few nods to one of the most notorious world leaders in history and his similarity to the plight of Mr. Linus. Sorry…DR. Linus. But with the high school setting and its inner “politics”, Richard and his death wish at the Black Rock, and the appearance of Jon Gries and his whispering of the trademark “YES!” as he glanced over his microwave turkey dinner, I couldn’t help but make these parallels.

One a magnetic and power hungry French General turned Emperor, turned exiled prisoner, turned leader of France again and finally, exiled prisoner… yet again. The other a little low budget teen flick with some of the most lethargic characters to ever hit the silver screen . They couldn’t be more different … and yet their similarities are astounding.

What does this have to do with LOST, you say? I say what doesn’t this have to do with LOST?

Honestly… I don’t know. Just thought it was funny. 😉

LOST Thoughts: S6/Ep5- Lighthouse or A Chip Off the Old Doc

We are seeing the beginning of things “coming to light” for Jack, in this episode. As for me, still in the dark ( Hey, it’s LOST) . Nevertheless, I’m going to steer towards this episode, despite risking peril of heading for the rocks 😉

( If you want to hear other thoughts about this episode I (as well as Heath) had, check out The Lost Revisited Now Podcast, Episode 87 “Lighthouse”) .

GalleyHurley tells this unknown man where the kitchen is. But wouldn’t he recognize one of his own people and that anyone else was an Other and probably knew where it was? Odd, but eh… probably just something to say dialog-wise for the reveal of Jacob.

Bilge Water– Jacob is sitting by the contaminated spring. Will he “heal” the water…or is it too late? As he and Hurley are standing by the spring, it seems that Jacob is more concerned about someone that is coming to the Island and that he needs Hugo’s help.

Toe the Line– Hurley is confronted by Dogen in the Temple halls. He is looking at a hieroglyph that resembles the circular broach that Ms. Hawking was wearing in “Flashes Before Your Eyes”. Dogen tells him to leave but is thwarted by Hugo telling him that he is a candidate ( thanks to Jacob). Dogen is shocked at how he knows this and has to let Hurley do what he wants to. So, why is this? What makes a candidate so special that someone like Dogen must genuflect to their wishes? One thing we do know, according to the translation, is that he has to protect Hurley … or otherwise, he’d cut off his head.

Groggy– Another mystery wound. Jack can’t seem to remember having his appendix taken out. His mother said that he was about 7 or 8 and that Christian wanted to take it out but they wouldn’t let him. This is a lot like how Jack wanted to take out his own appendix, on Island, in Something Nice Back Home (Season 4). But in that flashback, he had no scar. Time line bleed? Error in Season 4? Is this because that’s where X marks the spot …of when the time lines “crossed” (1977)?

Also, Margo seemed concerned ” Why, don’t you remember?” Jack is playing like he did. Is this like Daniel Faraday but in reverse? As if Jack (as well as other Losties) are having memories added instead of taken away.
Before this scene, Jack walks by a picture in his house that may or may not be … black smoke.

Back and Fill – Hurley and Miles playing Tic Tac Toe (dark X’s, light O’s) ending in yet another tie. Is this foreshadowing of the endgame or will we have resolution? Personally, I’m hoping for the later. “It only ends once…”

Half pint– Jack was in a hurry because he had to pick up his son, David, from school. His SON?! Of course, the next question is “Who is his mother?” and is it someone we know, someone new or do we need to know? For now, we are not shown who she is ( but we know that she keeps her key under a white rabbit the same way one was kept at the hotel in ” Some Like it Hoth”) . Jack is divorced again in this time line too. Is Sawyer right about some people are just meant to be alone? Will this be the fate for all … or at least, most,of our Losties?
David is another musician…a pianist like Jack, Daniel, Charlie, Ben. And who was David listening to that he thinks Jack wouldn’t have heard of (Geromino Jackson? DriveShaft? The Beach Boys? Himself…since Jack didn’t know David was playing anymore 😉 ) ?

Listening to LOST Unlocked podcast, I heard Chris and Brian mentioned David from the Bible. How he was a shepherd ( David Shephard) and was a musician who wrote the majority of the Psalms (including The 23rd Psalm, which was an Ekocentric episode from Season 2).

Another thing about David is that he was a candidate to be king of Israel. Samuel the Prophet was instructed by God to go to find the future king amongst this particular family. The father Jesse brought out all of his sons..or so he said. None of the sons were the right person. Then Samuel asked Jesse if he had any more sons. Jesse offhandedly said his youngest David, the eighth son ,was out tending sheep. Turns out David was the one, whether his father thought he “had what it takes” or not. 😉

First Rate– Jack is excited to tell David that he had cable set up for him so he can watch the Red Sox play ( failing to notice that David is a Dodgers fan, which we learn from their 4 pictures together with his LA hat on… the last with the cap turned “sideways” with the LA “disappearing” …hmmm. )

Jack also sees that David is reading the “Annotated Alice” (in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass) and talks about how he read it to him when David was little (just like Aaron, S4) . David wanted to hear about Kitty and Snowdrop. These characters are two kittens of Alice’s cat , Dinah. Snowdrop is white and Kitty is black. Also, Kitty is the one who was actually the Red Queen and the one responsible for Alice’s dream. Will the dark side be the one orchestrating this “dream” called LOST (please, don’t let it actually be a dream…lol)? (Thanks to Glen who first sent me some info on the subject 8) ) .

Windfall– After much searching, Margo and Jack find the Last Will and Testament of Christian Shephard. But there is someone unfamiliar mentioned in it… a Claire Littleton! So, is this telling us that Christian would have had an affair with Carole and had a baby regardless? Or will Claire be the child of someone else and had another association with him? I’m guessing that she is still his child… that whatever happened, happened. But David didn’t exist before in the other timeline. Will this somehow tie into why we saw a pregnant Sarah Shephard in the Season 3 finale?

Fathom– Hurley can’t imagine how he’s going to get Jack to follow him to where they need to go. Jack can’t figure out how Hurley (or this “Jacob”) knows about ” Having what it takes”. Hurley is wondering how those bodies got in the cave. Jack can’t understand why Kate has the same backpack as his son, David in the flash sideways. Or at least, that’s what I think it looks like that’s what he’s thinking 😉

Leeway– Claire is the one to mention the word “safe” this week ” We’ve got to get you somewhere safe” (to Jin, when she busts him out of that bear trap).

Loose Cannon– And speaking of Claire, she seems a little unstable, which is punctuated by the fact she has a homemade Psycho- style “infant” in a crib and swings a mean ax. But can you blame her. She’s been stuck with needles, branded and had her baby stolen by the Others. Well, two out of three ain’t bad.

Spin a Yarn– At least she is under that impression from what Jin told her. Or didn’t tell her. Wanting to save a life… and at this point, his own, he tells Claire that Kate has Aaron. But seeing that “The Others Don’t Have Your Baby” story didn’t suit her ( with a dead Justin for claire-ification), Jin then says that Aaron is back at The Temple.

Jury Rigging– Jack has spent his whole life (and the flash-sideways) trying to fix what is broken. But why Dr. Shephard came back to the Island was so someone/something could “fix” him for a change. But he is under the impression that it didn’t work and has to go back to “home remedies”. At least until he reached…

Skyscraper– The Lighthouse

Jack: ” How could we have not seen this before?”
Hurley: ” Maybe because we weren’t looking for it “.

( Mirror of Locke telling Sun, about here ring, that if you want to find something, you have to stop looking for it, Season 2)

The Island’s lighthouse may be patterned after
The Lighthouse of Alexandria
, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was, at one point considered one of the tallest structures in the world.

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was the inspiration for
The Tower of Hercules
in Spain , named after the figure from Greek mythology. The legend was that Hercules, who was half man, half god, fought a giant for 3 days and nights. Then when he emerged victorious, took his severed head and weapons and buried so the land can be used to erect the tower.

Let’s see… Dogen was going to cut Hurley’s head off, Hercules cut off the head of a giant, Justin was threatening to break Claire’s neck and Alice in Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts favorite phrase was ” Off with their heads!!!” At this point , it might be wise to invest in some Kevlar chain-meal turtlenecks.

Chew the Fat: This was a different Dogen that Jack encounters in the flash sideways, making small talk at the conservatory try outs ( where candidates are welcome 🙂 ) . Dogen says David has a gift (special?) and that “It’s hard to watch and not be able to help” ( a parallel to Jacob and the Losties?) .
Not sure why yet but are seeing more and more of these people from the Island congregating in the same area with the Losties.

Charting a Course– In the Lighthouse, Jacob’s ” Master List” can be found on a huge wheel, connected to four very revealing mirrors. In those mirrors, we saw Sawyer’s church for parents funeral, the temple of the Kwon wedding in The Incident and Jack’s childhood home (where he was told by Christian ” You just don’t have what it takes.”)
These were all points in their lives that solidified much of direction their life’s path would lead them. But knowing that Jacob was watching him enraged, instead of endeared Jack and the mirrors were promptly smashed to bits (along with any other cluey goodness 😉 ).

The wheel, however, remains in tact. Some names we know ( Austen, Linus, Friendly, Brennan ( Kate’s boyfriend or from Rousseau’s team?) … some names not so familiar, at least not yet. One of those that might still be of significance is 108- Wallace. There are people that have been named Wallace in history, philosophy, science, etc. But I would like to think that this could be a nod to Wallace “Wally” West, otherwise known as The Flash.

Wallace West became The Flash at the age of 10 when something went a rye in his uncle’s laboratory. His character was the first introduce the concept of “parallel worlds” in comic books. He, along with The Green Lantern, were the “stars” in the comic series ” Faster Friends” … that made an appearance on the Island because of Hurley. But it was another character that it is associated with more. And he might have been 10 years old when he got his “powers” like the Flash did? At least, that’s how old he was when got to the Island.

The name ” Wallace” means “one from the South” ( Australia?) One of the variations or nicknames for Wallace is Walt. Walter is German and means “Ruler of an army” . And how can you fight a war without an army?

Sure, they could have put Lloyd on the wheel… but what fun would that be! His mother , father and adoptive father, could have potentially changed his name multiple times. What he would be named was even a bone of contention before Walt was even born. This way, he is just stays “Waaaaalt!” to Jacob/MIB. And just because your name is crossed off, doesn’t mean your dead. It just means your not a candidate, for one reason or another. But it doesn’t mean your “out of the running” for something else ( You watch! Next week, we’ll find out “Lloyd” is on the wheel and there goes the theory! But hey, that’s part of the fun. 😉 )

Giving a Wide Berth
– Hurley couldn’t understand why they couldn’t just tell Jack to go to the lighthouse. Jacob said some people can be told in the back of a cab. Jack is the kind that has to figure out on his own. Did it just turn out that Jack actually was the one who Hugo help to “arrive”?

Batten Down the Hatches
– If Jacob is right, it’s too late to warn the Temple people. What will this mean for “half-hearted” Sayid, Miles, Dogen and the rest? Because Jin’s on his way back and on his heels are Claire Bunyan and her “friend”, the big Smokey (L)ox.

Is Jack just a figurehead or someone who , to paraphrase the former John Locke, is a leader that just needs to know where he’s going? Can’t wait to find out the answer to this and much more as we forge ahead towards Episode 6. 🙂

LOST Thoughts : 6/1 LA X or The Temporal Triple Lutz ( Part Three)

Turn Three: The Island/ The Foot

Sun and Frank : Whatever “bill of goods” they’re being sold … they ain’t buyin’ .

Locke: Still dead. Although, there’s were an awful lot of close ups of him, being dead. So, he may be dead but will he stay dead? Stay tuned!

Ben: Got a “front row seat” to the contents of that big, silver box, thanks to an irate Mr. Alpert. Was told by who he thought was Locke ” Sorry you had to see me like that” ( another call back to Stephen King’s “The Stand) . And in one swift move, he went from being the mastermind manipulator to mild-mannered minion to…

Smocke : That’s right! From all indications… MIB = Smokey. And he ( not it…no need for insults) is not happy. He doesn’t like Bram and the gang shooting at him… and bends the bullets for emphasis. He doesn’t like the ash either ( so did the ash around the cabin keep him in or keep him out?) . But before the chaos started in the foot, he told Jacob’s former bodyguards that they were “free” ( Hmmm… think there’s more to that proclamation) . He also claimed that John Locke’s last words were ” I don’t understand” ( Wonder if that’s the same thing Miles can do?) . But he admired that, despite the pathetic life Locke led, John was right about one thing : Being the only one not wanting to leave the Island ( What about Rose? She didn’t want to go with Locke but I don’t think she wanted to leave with Jack either. Maybe she was someone that wouldn’t allow herself to be “used” by him ? ). But it seems to be just the opposite desire for himself. He just wants to go home ( Where is home? The Temple? The Mother ship? Where the Heart is? ) He is disappointed in the beach dwellers ( Where they originally his people? Did he want them to fight Ilana and the rest?) But who he saved his greatest scolding for was…

Richard: Was under a cloud of suspicion, confusion, and puzzling Latin inspired riddles. Apparently, he was in chains a while back ( Black Rock or in more of a metaphorical sense?) . Whatever it was… it got him clocked on the noggin and strewn around Smocke’s neck like a prize winning boar.

Happy “landing”, LOST! Next up : Episode 6/2. 8)

LOST Thoughts : 6/1 – LA X or The Temporal Triple Lutz ( Part Two)

Turn 2 : The Swan Hatch/The Temple

I’m going to keep this simple , like the ankh list. To sum up…

Kate – First to wake from flash/blast ( in a tree!) like Charlie was the first to leave the imploded hatch and also couldn’t hear. First to meet up with someone by falling on them ( Miles, just like she did with Charlie after running from Smokey for the first time) . First to find out where/when they were. First chooses to help unconscious Jack then unconscious Sawyer. First to go into the tunnels ( just like the Hatch in S2)
Jack – Broken man who just can’t seem to “fix” anyone, at least right now.
Sawyer – Broken man who wants to kill someone ( namely, Jack) but changes his mind. Rather watch him suffer in this life. From the look on Jack’s face, I think it’s working.

Juliet – Thought was dead but is alive. She said to Sawyer ” It didn’t work” , then talked about going dutch sometime for coffee. She wants to tell him something very important, then dies yet again… or at least, felt like it 😦
Miles- Knows what that very important message Juliet was going to say, now that she’s dead… ” It worked!”. Was she glancing (flash) sideways?
Jacob – Speaks to Hurley because he’s dead now. Old friend murdered him an hour ago. Some friend…
Hurley – Sees/Hears Jacob because he’s dead now. Knows how to ” fix” Sayid and knows what’s in the case but not what was in what was in the case ( Nama…wha? ).
Jin – Knew what Hurley was talking about when he was asked about the ” Hole in the Wall” ( at The Temple not Butch Cassidy’s gang) .
Sayid – Was dying, repented, drowned ( or was it “baptized” ? ), attempted to be revived, no use… no wait…he’s fine!

Some things that happened…
They were back at the Swan Hatch, circa 2004..ish. Whatever happened, happened… at least, here it did…somewhat.
We saw more of the tunnels
We heard more of the Whispers
We saw The Temple
We saw more of The Others ( dressed a lot like The Sheriff, Isabelle in SIASL)
We saw Others Cindy with a groovy headband, Zach and Emma
We saw what was in the guitar case. “It’s a giant ankh! Wow! I wonder how that plays into the mysterious worship practices of The Oth…NO! Wait…don’t do THAT *crack* … oh. Well, at least Jacob’s list faired better than Charlies’ Greatest Hits. ”
We saw a spring and a darkened, bloody pool. And how it doesn’t heal anymore. And a super-sized eggtimer. Did this help/hurt Sayid?
We saw that this Others leader doesn’t like our scrawny, New Yorker teen -like Losties, the taste of English on his tongue but digs trimming little trees. But it looks like the “warming up” stage is going to go awfully quick now that Jacob’s dead, the ash scattered and the warning flare’s been launched. And Smocke’s coming to “Sweep the leg!” of our Losties.

Which will bring us to Turn 3 : The Island/The Foot … To be continued. 🙂

LOST Thoughts : S6, Ep1 – LA X or The Temporal Triple Lutz ( Part One)

While we are so close to the Winter Olympics, I thought I throw in a little nod to it. 🙂

Similar to what is considered to be the most difficult maneuver in figure skating, LOST has given us an ambitious and impressive new mode of storytelling, the concept of “flash-sideways”, introduced in the Season 6 premiere “LA X” ( or was it …dun, dun, duuuun! 😉 ) .

I’m going to talk about the episode in the three parts, or rotations, that it executed.

Turn 1 : The Plane/Airport

Jack : ” Lookin’ around like he’d been there before” ( see ” Tarps” under LOST Parodies for that reference. 😉 )
This time, Rose is consoling him. She doesn’t have the ring on her necklace. But she actually didn’t either in The Pilot.
Cindy hands him one bottle of liquor instead of two. No back gash this time that needs sterilizing, perhaps?
As the turbulence passes, Jack looks down to where the Island should have been. And it was…but it was underwater this time! How did it get there on the bottom of the ocean, if was truly an island? Was whatever was” holding it up ” cut off? By what? The Jughead? The War? Volcano? Whatever caused this appears to have ” changed the rules”. 😉
Fresh wound on his neck. Could it be he became a proxy because he carried out Daniel Faraday’s life’s work , so he has the “reminder” of his bullet wound or from something we haven’t seen yet.. like ” The War that’s to come”?
Told he wasn’t supposed to save Charlie by Charlie. Suicidal or course correction? Either way, Charlie levels the blame onto him.
It’s been confirmed…pens save lives…or at least, they could, if given half a chance! 🙂
Christian’s body is missing…again. Or is it just his coffin this time?
His cellphone…when is it from this time ( Through the Looking Glass) ?
This time, he knows John is in a wheelchair. He’s even willing to “fix” him. Will he ? ” Nothing is irreversible”.

Kate: Back with Marshall Mars again. Has to eat her in flight meal without utensils. Glad we didn’t have to witness the lasagna eating contest .
Pick pockets Dr. Jack for that very valuable, life saving pen. Just like she did to him with the key from the Haliburton case in Season One and again with the satellite phone in Season Four.
Edward calls her ” Kiddo”. Still think there more to LOST’s most requently used nickname by multiple characters than meets the ear.
She escapes captivity .. at least for now, by trying to pick the handcuff lock with the pick pocketed pen. Edward gets the same smack to the forehead, from a bathroom counter, that he got from the Haliburton case, on the original flight.
She gets a bit of help escaping from Sawyer, who was the first to know about her handcuffs, this time. Is it because he’s a fellow lawbreaker or thinks she’s cute and might somehow meet up later? Most likely, a bit of both.
Before she gets nabbed by the police who have spotted her, she jumps into a cab occupied by none other than Claire! Will she be there to deliver Aaron again?

Locke: This time, got to read that air-safety pamphlet he dropped in The Pilot. Hope it was just as informative.
So, he got to go on his Walkabout this time. Take THAT , Randy Nations ( either that or he’s lying 😦 ) !
Sitting next to Frogurt. I guess it is still Neil Time… no matter the time we’re in. 8)
Exiting the plane, not looking happy to go back to the daily grind at the box factory..if that’s where he’s going.
The airport lost his Box O’ Knives. (Jack) ” Oh, are you some kind of salesman? ” ( Locke) ” Something like that. ” Was it because he was “selling” his story of being a Hunter to everyone, including himself. Or did he go on the Walkabout, in training for his job “selling” to people in hopes of “getting them to where they need to go”?

Hurley: Is now the luckiest guy in the world. And still wins the Lottery. Was it with the numbers we know? Did he still hear them from Lenny? Did Lenny hear them?
Will he get tricked out of his money like he was warned on the plane? Or will he actually make a true friend from this streetwise “stranger”?
Outside the airport, waiting for a cab, was on the phone yelling about someone keeping him from doing business “Does this guy own the whole Outback!?” I wonder who this could be? Obviously, someone with a lot of pull, power and cash. Now, who do we know that could be described that way? Rhymes with Bidwore? That is, if Charles was off the Island before it sank…whenever that was.

Jin: He still has a watch to deliver. Still want to know who he delivered the first watch to in Australia. Could it be the same guy that is giving Hurley a hard time setting up his chicken franchise there?
Still wants Sun to button her sweater. Why doesn’t he just buy her a pullover and give them both a break! 😉
Has a boatload of American cash hidden in his suitcase. Was he planing to take off and live in the US or was this part of the “gift”, along with the watch, for this other business acquaintance of Mr. Paik’s?
Now in airport jail, will he be released to carry out his “mission” for Mr. Paik or be sent back? And will he be alone?

Sun: Likes looking at happy couples on the plane, like Rose and Bernard. (Are they happy because she isn’t sick anymore? On their honeymoon? )
At first, said ” I” then changed it to ” They look so happy”. Is she thinking about a relationship that she might have waiting for her in America, as well? Perhaps with someone who frequented there, even was going to marry a woman who went to Harvard?
Miss Paik?! Whaaat? Not married? Engaged? Kept her maiden name on her passport so it made it easier to disappear once they got to America?

Sawyer: Is he Sawyer still…or ever was? Is he a conman who lost his parents in a murder/suicide? Seems awfully chipper for someone who just killed the wrong man and was kicked out of a continent/country.

Sayid: Going to see Nadia again. Will he get to, this time? Did he have to help the FBI this time or was this under other circumstances?
Kicking in the airplane’s bathroom door to get Charlie out. Sayid’s feet are like a Swiss Army Knife…so very versatile!

Frank: He’s a no show. Seth Norris flying this bird, yet again. So, what happened that he’s supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic 815?

Boone: Seems happy. Shannon didn’t go back with him. Hope he still ” runs a business!!!”. Would still follow Locke.

Charlie: Not nervous about getting caught like the first time we saw him. Seemed more annoyed. Blames Jack for saving him. ” Should have let it happen, man. I was supposed to die. ” Was he suicidal though? If he wanted to OD, way didn’t he snort the heroine? Perhaps he was just trying to smuggle it by swallowing the bag, instead of flushing it? But as he was doing it, the turbulence happened and he choked on it instead?
If he was trying to kill himself, was it because of Liam rejecting the band getting back together or does he somehow aware that his death was necessary for “course correction”?
” Am I alive?” His first words after Jack got the bag out of his throat. The same words written on Dom’s hand at ComicCon.

Desmond: Why is he on the plane????? Can only Jack see him? He claims he’s never seen Jack before. Is he being truthful? Is Jack like Hurley and can see him because he “sees dead people”? Is he traveling like he was in ” The Contstant” and after the turning of the fail safe key? Did he ever actually go to the Island, since it is now underwater? Or did he go to the Island before it “sank” ? Is he with Penny? Is there a little Charlie still?
Said he spoke to the stewardess about moving his seat because the guy next to him was snoring. Was it Cindy and did she know what was going on? Or is the “disappearance” just him going back to his original seat because it had better lighting to read his book: Salman Rushdie’s “Haroun and the Sea of Stories”. 😉

Coming soon..Turn 2 : The Swan Hatch/The Temple. 🙂

LOST Thoughts : Some Pre Season 6 Wacky Theories

Part of the fun of LOST is making theories: Large and small, serious and silly, and sharing them with each other. I had one of these exchanges a couple days ago with other fellow fans/podcasters. And I thought I’d post some ideas that I wrote here too. Some of these thoughts are built off of old theories. Some things just occurred to me now.

Locke’s Death

I’m still sticking with the Locke was strangled like his dad and was dead. Like “Dead is Dead” dead. My crackpot theory ( or just wishful thinking…lol) is just like he was healed before when he touched the Island, he will be again. But then we’d have two “Lockes” running around…kinda cheesy. But if this happens, somehow the writers will defy logic and make it cool…lol.

But then I came up with how they could do it. Locke falls out of the box. He touches the Island and is “healed”. Jacob’s Nemesis seems to need a dead body to do whatever it is to appear as John Locke. Once Locke is alive again, Nemesis’ actual identity is revealed ( and we might have Titus Welliver too for the rest of Season Six. Yay! 🙂 ) But it won’t happen until Walt’s ” You- were- standing- on- the- beach,- in- a -suit,- with- people- all- around- you, -wanting -to -hurt -you” Dream comes true… by way of Flock.

Christian’s Death and Recreation of Circumstances

However, I have always thought that Christian Shephard’s death was suspect.

When Christian saw Claire and told her that he had “ways” to help her mother die ( at least, that seemed to be the implication) , I’m guessing that he also had “ways” to appear dead and “come back to life”. And it might be through a method similar to the Medusa spider venom or a modification of it that he was able to create ( Seeing that he had most likely been on the Island before) .

He supposedly died from a massive heart attack brought on by drinking/getting in a fight with someone. But no autopsy scars?! ( Juliet’s ex husband got hit by a bus and they gave him an autopsy! 🙂 ) Also the guy who showed Jack his father dead body in the morgue …was also at the crash site. See man with white hair holding his arm, shouting ” Move away from the gas! ” ( Actor Geoff Heise) Hmmm… Wonder why he’d be there? I’m guessing it wasn’t for budgetary reasons. He had lines and wasn’t just someone in the background. Was this man an accomplice? Dr. FrankenShephard’s Igor? One can only hope. 😉

How about this : What if he was playing the role of “the dead guy” that needed to be on Flight 815 to get back to the Island just like Locke was playing his “role”? That Ajira 316 was not the first time “the circumstances of a flight having to be recreated as best as you can” ?

Ben’s Box

I’ve been thinking that the box was the box of chocolate with the gun that Sun received , along with the papers/ pictures of Jack and Ben near the van. Just like he did with the whole Kate & Aaron “lawsuit”, I think Ben gave them to Sun so she would come to him. Then Ben could show her Jin’s ring and get her back to the Island. And where did that gun go after Sun decided to go with Ben and Jack to see Ms. Hawking? Why into Ben’s pocket, of course, so he could go and take care of that promise he had made to a friend ( i.e. killing Penny…or at least he thought he was going to ) .

As mentioned above, these are wacky. Do with them what you will. 😉

LOST Video: Damon and Carlton on Season Six ( New)

mswendygravitar8 The poster was not certain where this video was shot. But I believe that this was a portion of a talk that took place in Hawaii that was also featured on ” The Transmission” podcast with Ryan and Jen. It’s spoiler free viewing talking mainly about how they keep the show from being spoiled. 🙂

LOST Thoughts : Setting the Date (?)

mswendygravitar8 Just read on DarkUFO that a schedule sheet from ABC’s LOST has revealed that the Season Six premiere episode appears to be on January 20th, 2010 ( If you click on the link to article, don’t worry if you are spoiler free. The episode titles have been blacked out) .

Now, if it is on the 20th, LOST will remain on Wednesdays but the time is still unclear. Will we be looking at a 10pm airing again?

Regardless, if this is correct, we are looking at less than 3 months away now for LOST’s return.
